Before we tell you anything else, we’d like you to know that participation in this game is absolutely FREE and anyone around the world can enter.
The first step to playing (and being in line to win fantastic prizes!) is to register with SuperSport.com.
Click here to registerIf you are already a registered user on SuperSport.com or DStv.com, all you have to do is log in using the fields at the top right of the page.
If you have been invited to join a pool and you have the pool code to hand, log in or register first, then click on My Pools. From there you can paste or type the code into the text field, then click the 'Join' button.
Once you have successfully logged in, selected your favourite team (if you wish) and joined the game, you will land on your Dashboard page. This is your one-stop shop for a complete overview, from the predictions required, to your performance from the previous week, and your standings in the various pools.
To predict the scores for upcoming matches, click on the “Make Predictions“ tab. Click on ‘Predict’ next to any of the games and you will be taken to the Prediction page. Once you have completed your scores, click on “ Submit Predictions ” at the bottom of the page.
To make changes to your predictions, simply click on the 'Change' button next to the score you have inputted and it will take you back to the Predictions page
Please note that on the top right hand side of the page, in your profile block, there are quick links that you can use, whatever page you are on, to jump immediately to areas such as “Make Predictions”.
In an effort to make the game as simple as possible, points are awarded for the correct prediction of a winning team or the correct guess of a draw, with additional points for getting a score exactly right.
You will automatically be entered into the global league.
One of the best features of this game is the importance of the monthly leagues, which run from the first day of each month to the last, with great prizes up for grabs. It means that you can join anytime during the season, and while you may not stand a chance of winning the overall league, there is still plenty of incentive each month. August and May will also count as full months.
You can also set up one or many private Leagues where you challenge your friends, family or work colleagues to play against you.
Here’s how it works:
The option to set up or join a private league can be accessed from the quick links, which are situated under your profile block. Just click on “My pools” and click the “Create” button to create your own private league or click on the “Join “ button to join an existing league. To join an existing league, you will need to have been invited and provided with a league code.
You can choose to send an automatic email to your friends by entering their email addresses online, or alternatively you can forward your private league code to them.
Also within each League area is a Facebook comment box, which allows you to make comments and get the banter going among your friends.
The lock-out times for predictions on any game will be the kick-off of that match, so there could be multiple lock-out times on any one day if the fixtures are spread out.
We do, however, encourage you to get your predictions in earlier to avoid the potential rush around kick-off times.
The great aspect of this game is that it's never too late to join as prizes are up for grabs every month.
There will obviously be the overall prize at the end of the season for our top predictor, but every calendar month also starts with a clean slate and the opportunity to win an awesome Sony PSP!
Beginning in August, there will be a Sony PSP prize for the top points scorer of each month (everyone starts from zero) up until the end of the year, then from January 2012 we will give away a Sony Ericsson Handset each month. At the end of the season our top player will walk away with a Sony 40" LED TV for their efforts. Nice…
Despite August 2011 and May 2012 being short football months, the monthly prizes are still available.
A countback system will be used to break ties and ensure that only one person qualifies for each prize.
The countback system will work as follows:
• Monthly ties: if points are tied, we will then look at your win-accuracy percentage. If that is the same, we will remove the points earned from the month’s first round of matches, then second and so on until we have a winner. If we still can cannot separate a tie, we’ll conduct a random draw.Only residents of these countries will be eligible to win prizes in this game:
Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comores, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, DRC, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, St Helena, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
